Yesterday was pretty slack. We did lots of admin for Guides, and had a patrol corner for more than one hour. We combined with P1 to play Ice & Water and Hide-and-Seek. It was epic fail, but very very fun.
Next week we'll prolly go back to PTs and/or STs.
So I finally got some sleep.
Pet Society is full of awesome. Did you know that your income is now doubled? I bought more TWS doors because I wanted a balcony room like what someone on the forums did. And erm, next week we'll probably have some ORANGE retro theme. As you can tell, I'm very excited.
Country Story has been having problems because of glitches and bugs, but it's just a game so I don't really mind. This week's update was this super cute candy set of gummy bears and other equally toothachey stuff. And I must say this:
IF YOU WANT TO SHAKE MY TREES, SEND ME A BLOODY MESSAGE FIRST.Just returned to Sorority Life after deleting it. They have Diamond levels now. Must work harder.
And Rot removed her Happy Pets app :( Anyone else wants to play?
Oh yeah, play Happy Island because it's awesome.

Alrighty then, my new year makeover. The music doesn't seem to be working, but it's not the end of the world.
Isn't the colour pwetty? :D
Nothing much to tell anyone now. It's the start of a new school year, and the teachers are... interesting.
Just enjoy the tagboard, which is finally working. Yay yay.

Urm, old news, but I saw Shu Ling during the Year One registration (?) and she cut her hair! She looks freaking stylish and cute now haha.
And more TNPS people have joined this year.

I've been lurking on the internets, people!
And someone is pissing me off hugely. The poster in question is allycat, who seems to think her opinion is soooo right. The irony is that after you finish reading her posts, at the end of the thread before it was locked, she writes:
Yes this topic has turned to personal attacks
OH GAWD CAN YOU FEEL IT? Yep, personal attacks on Sylvia, definitely. The person is obviously biased against foreign talent and goes in a roundabout way to defend/argue her own points.
I want to cry.
Also, check out the other posts in that thread. Unecessarily harsh, aren't they?
AT LEAST I'M NOT THE ONE TRYING TO MIGRATE.

Congrats Singapore! A male won again! Over a female who had more talent in her little finger than everyone else's combined!
I was reading this forum and this poster went on about how it's "Singaporean Idol" and how M should win. Then when people said F had more talent she went on a long tirade about how she wants to get out of Singapore. The rest of the thread got swamped by other people calling for a Singaporean to win and how F would flounce back to her home country afterwards.
Baaaaaaaaww. Get over it. It's a talent competition. Not a popularity one. If we wanted politics in our reality talent search shows we would have watched American Idol... (oh wait, except it's not out yet).
Shame that the the target demographic consists of girls, who always vote for the guys. The females were obviously more talented this year, but they got booted out. Shame that some people are so bothered about nationality (like the foreign talent, eh?).

So a long time ago my patrol had an outing. After a great day of Shannie-ribbing, pigging out on food, etc etc, marred only by some rain, we headed for a movie.
Thankfully mostly everyone either 1. has no idea what Twilight is going on about or 2. read it and thinks its average. So New Moon was out of the question :D
We debated between Mulan and this lesser-known flick called An Education. In the end we chose Western. Thusly, it is RAAAAEG TIME.
Right off the bat, I noticed the actress looks an awful lot like Bonnie Wright (aka Ginny Weasley). Except maybe the jaw isn't as... defined as Wright's. She's a normal student with pretty good grades, and she's in some sort of band. She plays the cello.
And basically our lovely heroine Jenny feels stifled in the world, kind of. Her father is obsessed with her education (c whut I didn't do thar?) and thinks music is superfluous, and her mother is busy being good and understanding.
One rainy day after band practice, Jenny meets a stranger who is very concerned about her cello being in the rain, because he's a music-enthusiast. She accepts his offer of a drive home, and the plot starts right there.
See, they share a spesul connection and this David chap allows her a glimpse into the beautiful world beyond. They hang around each other a lot. She skips classes and lies to her parents just to go out with him.
She finds out that he isn't a very trustworthy character, skulking around places and walking right into houses and carrying a painting out. Then - GET THIS - she stays with him. My god.
In one scene she claims she doesn't want to lose her virginity before she turns 17, but that doesn't stop her from stripping in front of that guy. LOLWTF.
Time passes. They're engaged. Jenny brushes off her concerned teacher and headmistress, and quits school. The friend isn't too happy about their engagement, because *drum roll* DAVID IS ALREADY MARRIED! So sweet, innocent Jenny locks herself into her room and her dad apologises to her (???) and tells her he knew she was lying about the trip to the university.
David is a polygamist, turns out. It wasn't the first time he's found The One, the real wifey tells Jenny while she struggles with her children. Woman, get up and sue his prancing ass already!
The protagonist is such an idiot that I want to smack her head. She is immensely regretful and wishes to return to school, but the headmistress is smart enough to see through her shit and turn her away. So Jenny turns to her ex-teacher for help, and she is accepted to college.
What the movie is trying to tell us, I have no idea. Sex before marriage is bad? Education is teh bestest? Stop dating people older than you whose personal life you know nothing about? If you try hard enough anything can come through?
Congrats, you get a happeh ending! Now GTFO.
